Who we are
Cruising Downtown is the annual charity car show presented by the Manchester Rotary Club in Manchester, New Hampshire. This policy covers this website and the Cruising Downtown Staff app, which our staff and volunteers use to run the event — car registrations, check-in, t-shirt sales, and donations.
What we collect
- Event registrations: the name, contact details, and vehicle information you provide when registering for the show, applying as a sponsor or vendor, or signing up to volunteer.
- Community feedback: your survey answers, optional display name, hometown, Manchester residency, estimated local business spending, quote permission, and submission time. Responses are stored privately for organizer review. We use request IP addresses to limit repeated submissions.
- Payments: handled by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We keep records of what was purchased and its payment status. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Receipts: if you ask for an emailed receipt at one of our sales tents, we use your email address to send it and keep it with the sale record.
- Staff app: staff and volunteer names and sign-ins, used only to operate the event. The app uses your device's location only because Apple and Stripe require it to securely accept Tap to Pay contactless payments.
What we never do
- We never sell or rent your personal information.
- We don't use advertising trackers.
- We share data only with the services needed to run the event: payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, database storage, website hosting, and AI summaries of community feedback.
- Feedback text may be sent to OpenAI to summarize community themes; display-name fields are excluded. Please avoid putting personal contact information in your comments. Aggregate reports may be shared with city administrators. Individual comments may be quoted publicly or in those reports only when you give permission, with your display name if provided.
How long we keep it
Registration and sales records are kept for event operations, financial reporting to the Manchester Rotary Club, and to make next year's event easier for returning participants. You can ask us to delete your information at any time. Community feedback is kept for reviewing the show’s impact and planning future events; you may also request its deletion.
